I have been the Vice President of Aslan Child Rescue Ministries since 2000 and my primary area of focus is on orphan care and at risk children. I have participated in short term mission trips to Morocco and Ethiopia supporting orphanages and working with the expatriate and local teams.

In my role as Chief Operating Officer of a regional general contractor in the water and wastewater sector I am responsible for the safe and effective operations in the Western United States with over 150 employees and projects spreading from Texas and Colorado to California. My work allows me  to participate in industry out reach through the Associated General Contractors (AGC) to provide employment opportunities to the underserved populations of youth in California through the “Build California” initiative. The two great pleasures of my work are to help build the next generation of leaders and to participate in the construction of critical infrastructure in  our communities that enhance the health of the citizens and the local environment.

Born and raised in Northern California, I have deep roots in the local community. Blessed to be married to a wonderful woman who served our Lord overseas for many years I am also a father in three different ways, as a step, biological and an adoptive father. After completing the adoption process I have continued my association with Family Connections Christian Adoptions where I serve as a member of the PQI team and also participate as a “Buddy” during our camps for at risk and traumatized children. In the camps we rely heavily on the Nurtured Heart Approach by Howard Glasser and the Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) method developed by Dr. Karen Purvis of Child Development at Texas Christian University. Both methods are wonderful ways to interact with our fellow human beings and I highly recommend them to everyone who wants to love people more effectively.

At my local church I am part of the Celebrate Recovery community and the PEACE Plan ministry in Lesotho Africa. The COVID-19 pandemic and social unrest in the USA inspired in me a desire to serve the Lord with more love in my local community. I joined “The One-Eighty”, a local non-profit dedicated to the restoration of our city through 180 degree turns towards thriving physically, emotionally, & spiritually. I participate in the Job Readiness/Fostering Work program. This is a program dedicated to assisting at risk youth and those who have been a part of the Foster Care system to prepare them for and assist them in obtaining employment. I also serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children through the Child Abuse Prevention Council of San Joaquin County. In addition to these things I am a sports fan and enjoy hiking and reading and being with family. God bless you and thank you for your interest in Aslan Child Rescue Ministries and calling the poor of this world to the love of God.
